A Make Your Own Infomercial Contest
In keeping with everything grassroots about GRASSROOTS THE FILM, i’m taking over the GRASSROOTS blog! I’m the LA production coordinator of the movie and I know what’s up with all things GRASSROOTS. Soo here we go guys, feel free to comment so I feel instant validation. (you know what I’m talking about…everyone likes a comment).
I’ve worked with Stephen Gyllenhaal, the director of GRASSROOTS, for months now and this is what I know about him: he’s a homie; no ego AND he’s all about teaching and learning from his team. So when I heard about this crazy contest idea he came up with, I wasn’t surprised. If you’re a dreamer director here’s your big break on a plate! Stephen and the GRASSROOTS team are launching a contest: A MAKE YOUR OWN INFOMERCIAL CONTEST! It’s so cool. You make a creative, entertaining and funny infomercial, submit it and get your friends to vote for it on facebook. Your friends, along with surprise judges from the cast and crew will pick finalists and Stephen will choose the winner. If you win, Stephen will feature YOUR INFOMERCIAL in a scene in GRASSROOTS!!! I don’t have all the deets, but what I DO know is that the prize is ridiculous: seeing your original infomercial featured in GRASSROOTS THE FILM! I’m so bummed out that I can’t enter because I work here but I can’t WAIT to see what you guys come up with!!

I saw a whole group of guys dressed up in workout clothes holding shakeweights at halloween. It was awesome.
